Professionalism and Ethical Conduct

Machine Leadership is  committed to treating all clients, certified coaches, employees, and outside stakeholders will respect. Our company has established the following ethical standards that all clients, employees, partners, and website visitors must adhere to. Failure to do so will result in termination of membership.

Machine Leadership will not tolerate disclosure of confidential client information, exam or assessment details, or digital products. Copyrighted material must â€‹receive permission from Machine Leadership before being used for a commercial purpose.

All clients, employees, partners, and website visitors agree to following Machine Leadership's data privacy policy, which includes adhering to applicable state, federal and industry regulations concerning the collection, transfer, storage, and destruction of PII information.  This includes following the regulations established by GDPR, CCPA, and The Texas Data Privacy Security Act.

Intellectual Property and Dispute Resolution

Machine Leadership is a registered trademark with the USPTO. The company maintains ownership over the word mark and all of its derivative associations. This includes the Certified Machine Leadership Coach (CMLC) credential, The Machine Leadership Talent Assessment (MLTA), and The AI Innovation Frontier framework. All intellectual property displayed on the company's website, assessment portal, or social media pages are subject to copyright. Machine Leadership reserves all rights to our intellectual property and require that any outside party receive permission to utilize any or all aspects of the company's IP. In situations where an individual or organization is unsure if a particular product or service is copyrighted material, we encourage them to contact: info@machineleadership.com to seek approval.

For leadership frameworks and scholarly articles subject to fair use standards, we ask that Machine Leadership be properly cited using APA standards. This includes our leadership framework, talent assessment, courses, coaching model, and scholarly research published by The Machine Leadership Journal. Digital products that are sold are for the exclusive use of the purchaser and are not allowed to be resold without Machine Leadership's permission. Furthermore, individual feedback reports are for the exclusive use of the client and their assigned AI coach.

Machine Leadership is a registered LLC with the state of Texas. In situations where a dispute regarding IP has occurred, all clients, employees, partners, and website visitors agree to settle such claims under the Jurisdiction of Machine Leadership's registered headquarters. Furthermore, the terms of use stipulate that Machine Leadership reserves the exclusive right to seek mediation, injunction, or damages in the event our IP has been used without permission. Clients, employees, partners, and website visitors agree to seek mediation for their claims in the jurisdiction of Machine Leadership's registered headquarters at their expense prior to initiating legal action. In the event legal action is taken prior to mediation, the terms of use siptulate that Machine Leadership's legal costs will be paid by the filing party.

Data Obtained by Machine Leadership

All clients that purchase a talent assessment, certification, course, preparation guide, or coaching session agree that Machine Leadership maintains exclusive ownership over the results and feedback report. Clients may request their individual results and feedback report by emailing: info@machineleadership.com. However, aggregate trends, benchmarks, comparable studies, and all other data types that do not include PII information are exclusively owned by Machine Leadership and clients forgo all rights to any such information.

Certified AI Coaches are required to adhere to Machine Leadership's data privacy policy. All discussions are confidential and cannot be shared with outside parties without the client's permission, unless doing so is in aggregate form that does not identify the client or include PII information. All coaching data and reports are to be stored on Machine Leadership's coaching portal database. If individual records are maintained outside the system, the coach is still responsible for adhering to the same data privacy standards, even if the coach ceases to perform services. In the event a data breach occurs resulting from a coach not following these guidelines, client agrees that the fault and indemnity resides with the coach and agrees to hold harmless Machine Leadership for any damages arising from the conduct.

Respectful Conduct, Publication, and Academic Integrity

All clients, employees, partners, and website visitors are required to engage in respectful conduct during the group and individual coaching sessions, courses, community events, and other related activities. This includes verbal communication during online discussions, written communication posted to group and classroom boards, and messaging that can be viewed by members. Machine Leadership expects all visitors to engage in professional discourse that advances the skills, competencies, and behaviors of the community.

For The Machine Leadership Journal, researchers agree that as a condition of publication they forgo any monetary benefits that may directly or indirectly arise related to the article being included in the journal. Our organization provides this journal to contribute scholarly research to the field of Machine Leadership. Though publication standards are rigorous and all articles are indexed to academic search engines, author contributions are intended to be for free academic use. Lastly, researchers agree to properly citing relevant research (when applicable).

For The Machine Leadership Talent Assessment (MLTA) and Certified Machine Leadership Coach  (CMLC) credential, participants agree to maintain confidentiality as it relates to test questions, time constraints, and answers. This also includes following the exam protocols during the assessment to ensure scores are accurate. Machine Leadership reserves the right to seek compensatory damages if a testing kit is compromised as a result of unauthorized disclosure. In the event a participant is suspected of cheating, the company shall initiate an investigation and seek independent evidence. If sufficient documentation exists to indicate a an assessment or exam was not completed according to standards, our company will ask the participant to retake the exam. If the behavior appears to be deliberate, Machine Leadership will disregard the score and the participant agrees that the feedback report cannot be shared and no refund shall be issued.
